Getting to HKUST

Upon arriving in Hong Kong, you should make your way to HKUST and check into the student housing first of all.

Pick-up Service

HKUST offers pick-up services for undergraduate exchange students from the Hong Kong International Airport to HKUST student halls (on- and off- campus) at designated timeslots. Please note:

  • You need to register for this free service before the deadline specified below. We apologize that walk-in requests may not be entertained.
  • HKUST representative will be waiting at the gathering point 15 minutes before the departure time.
Gathering point: Group Pick-up Area in Arrival Hall A of Hong Kong International Airport
*** Please note that there may be last minute change of the gathering point due to unforeseeable circumstances. After the flight is landed, please make use of the free wi-fi service of the Hong Kong International Airport (#HKAirport Free WiFi) to check the most updated gathering point on this website. ***
  • After landing in Hong Kong, it takes around 1 hour to go through the immigration, baggage claim and customs. If your flight arrives much earlier, our advice is to grab a coffee or something to eat at the airport while you wait, and then make use of the pick-up service when it begins.
  • HKUST representative will lead the group to the coach sharp at the departure time listed above. While we understand that flights could be delayed, kindly understand that we will not be able to pick you up if you miss the coach you signed up for.
  • From the Hong Kong International Airport, a coach will bring you to the off-campus Jockey Club Hall (JCH) and then to the HKUST on-campus student halls (UG Hall I to IX). The coach will not stop at any other destinations.
  • If these pick-up dates/times do not suit you, you will find the information about getting to HKUST here useful.
  • To get to the off-campus Jockey Club Hall (JCH) by public transport, please find the information here.
